Yesterday we asked you about the origin of the "Panamera" model designation. The solution: "Panamera" is derived from "Panamericana", a highway system that runs across the American continent. After the Mexican section of the Panamericana was completed in 1950, it was inaugurated with a race where the 550 Spyder scored a class victory in 1954. The victory now lives in the name of the "Panamera".
